Class of 2006:
"I chose ASU's Polytechnic campus specifically for the unique flight program. I have found that it is an excellent program with great opportunities. I enjoy the small classes, and I am able to get to know all of my professors. Because the flight program is still small, I am around people with the same goals and someone is always there for support. I also work on campus as a dispatcher for Mesa Airlines. My career goal is to become a captain at a major airline. The flight program will guarantee me an interview with Mesa Airlines upon graduation, so with a little hard work I will be well on my way to accomplishing my career goals."

Class of 2005 (summer), B.S. in Aeronautical Management Technology, (Professional Flight concentration):
"It was such a huge advantage to have gone through FTD over the summer, and also to have the opportunity to stay up with callouts and procedures by flying the FTD up until I left for training. It has made my SIM experience very positive. Everyone I have talked to during my ground school training thinks that ASU has the best program in the country. People in my class keep saying that they wished they knew about it when they were going through school."

Class of 2004, B.S. in Aeronautical Management Technology (Professional Flight concentration):
"I came to ASU without having any background in aviation. With the aid of the professors and all the helpful individuals at ASU, I received all of my flight certificates/ratings in just over 2-1/2 years while at the same time working on my four year degree. After completion of my flight training, I was given the opportunity to gain experience by flight instructing other students within the program. I instructed for one year and then was offered the Assistant Chief Flight Instructor position with Mesa Pilot Development (ASU's flight contractor). With this position I was given the privilege to lead 12 other instructors in our flight operations. This last September, after being out of school for 1-1/2 year, I was offered a First Officer position with SkyWest Airlines. Throughout the interview experience for the airline, I knew that I was fortunate to have conducted
my training at Arizona State University. One of the main focuses of my education was how to best become the professional crew pilot. Due to that emphasis, I feel well prepared to go into the airline environment and succeed."

Class of 2004, B.S. in Aeronautical Management Technology (Professional Flight concentration):
"I went to the Mesa Pilot Development at Arizona State University because I have always wanted to fly and went to high school locally in Phoenix! It seemed like a perfect match to learn to fly and still live where I grew up. The most important decision to me was to get my four-year degree as well as a guaranteed interview with a very competitive regional airline, the decision was easy! Learning to fly at ASU/MPD gave me the greatest opportunity to jump start my airline career. With very dedicated flight instructors and professors, you have a close group of people that bond and form great friendships as you progress through training and onto your career. ... Flying the line now and looking back at my career at MPD at ASU; there is no other way route I would have taken."

Class of 2003 , B.S. in Aeronautical Management Technology (Professional Flight concentration):
"I can honestly say that I would not be in the position I am in if it were not for ASU. I came to ASU to learn how to fly airplanes. It wasn't until after I graduated that I realized how much ASU helped further my career goals. I was not only taught how to fly airplanes, but I was prepared to be airline pilot. The instructors and professors that taught in our department come from a wide variety of different experiences, both military and airline. It was easy to go to them for advice and recommendations. The curriculum is designed so that students can progress from never having touched an aircraft to having the ability to become a flight instructor even before they graduate. My goal of becoming an airline pilot would have been much more difficult to attain without the training I received from ASU."

"I was completely prepared upon graduation to interview and start immediately in my field. I graduated and one week later was interviewed and hired for a first officer position at a regional airline."

Class of 2003, B.S. in Aeronautical Management Technology (Professional Flight concentration):
"Arizona State University and Mesa Pilot Development have helped me tremendously. I went from zero hour's flight time with no connections in the industry, to the right seat of a CRJ after less than three hundred hours flight time. The training at ASU/MAPD helped me tremendously for the rigorous training at Mesa Airlines. The knowledge I gained in the classroom prepared me well for ground school and the oral. The CRJ simulator time was also an invaluable experience helping me to transition to a jet aircraft, while helping me to practice CRJ procedures, experience emergency situations, and learn about the limitations of the CRJ. I would highly recommend the ASU/MPD program to any aspiring pilot. I would not have gotten to where I am today, in so little time, without the help of ASU/MPD."
